Younger Swimmers

We want our younger swimmers to look forward to their swimming lessons and to think of it as a treat. We follow Swim England’s Pre-School Framework and Learn to Swim Programme and move children up through the different levels as soon as they are ready. Swimmers also have the opportunity to complete distance awards and the RLSS Rookie Lifeguard courses.

We start off and finish our lessons with a game or activity whilst concentrating on the different strokes and other swimming techniques in between. The games are an important part of the lesson as the majority of them are structured to re-enforce many of the skills that are needed for swimming and necessary to achieve the different swimming levels.

Some of the skills we hide in games are water confidence, breathing techniques, swimming strokes, getting in and out of the water safely, floating and treading water.

Adults & Older Children

There are many adults and older children who cannot swim or lack confidence in the water.  Our private pool is ideal for swimmers needing a quiet and supportive setting.  Older children can follow Swim England’s Learn to Swim Programme if they wish but we are sure it is their main priority just to be good swimmers and feel safe in the water. With one-to-one lessons we can go at the pace that is needed.

Again for adults, we can provide support anywhere from complete beginners through to swimmers who want to improve their swimming techniques. For adults we follow Swim England’s Adult Swimming Framework.
